An apparatus, an arrangement, a method and a computer program product for digital video processing are disclosed. A digital video processing apparatus includes a processor (100) to provide processing resources, a video encoder (102) utilizing the processing resources to encode a digital video, a usage meter (104) to measure repeatedly a usage level of the processing resources during the running of the video encoder (102), and an optimizer (106) to direct (108) repeatedly the video encoder (102) to utilize the processing resources adaptively so that the usage level reaches a predetermined level.

L'invention concerne un appareil, un agencement, un procédé et un produit de programme informatique pour un traitement vidéo numérique. Un appareil de traitement vidéo numérique comporte un processeur (100) disposant de ressources de traitement, un codeur vidéo (102) utilisant les ressources de traitement pour coder un film vidéo numérique, un dispositif de mesure d'utilisation (104) destiné à mesurer de manière répétée un niveau d'utilisation des ressources de traitement pendant l'exécution du codeur vidéo (102) et un optimiseur (106) destiné à ordonner (108) de manière répétée au codeur vidéo (102) d'utiliser, de manière adaptative, les ressources de traitement de sorte que le niveau d'utilisation atteigne un niveau prédéterminé.
