Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for increasing handoff speed of a mobile node in wireless LAN, which comprises determining the handoff mode and a new access point when the mobile node needs handoff and performing handoff to the new access point based on the determined handoff mode. The present invention further discloses a mobile node, which comprises an access point information storage module, an access point selection module, and a handoff performing module. The handoff speed of the mobile node in wireless LAN can be effectively improved by using the present invention.

La présente invention propose un procédé pour augmenter la vitesse de transfert d'un nœud mobile dans un réseau local (LAN) sans fil. Le réseau local (LAN) sans fil comporte la détermination du mode de transfert et d'un nouveau point d'accès lorsque le nœud mobile requiert un transfert ainsi que la réalisation du transfert au nouveau point d'accès selon le mode de transfert déterminé. La présente invention décrit, en outre, un nœud mobile comportant un module de stockage d'informations de point d'accès, un module de sélection de point d'accès et un module de réalisation de transfert. La vitesse de transfert du nœud mobile dans le LAN sans fil peut être grandement améliorée par la présente invention.
