Die Erfindung betrifft eine bivalente Brennkraftmaschine und ein Verfahren zum Betrieb einer bivalenten Brennkraftmaschine mit einer Abgasanlage, welche zumindest einem Katalysator aufweist, wobei die Brennkraftmaschine beim Starten mit einem flüssigem Kraftstoff betrieben und nach einer Startphase auf einen Betrieb mit einem gasförmigen Kraftstoff umgestellt wird und die Umstellung vom flüssigen zum gasförmigen Kraftstoff zu einem Umschaltzeitpunkt t1 erfolgt, welcher in Abhängigkeit von zumindest einem Alterungsparameter des Katalysators eingestellt wird. Bei einer Veränderung des zumindest einen Alterungsparameter des Katalysators wird der Umschaltzeitpunkt t1 entsprechend angepasst und/oder verändert.

The invention relates to a bivalent internal combustion engine and to a method of operating a bivalent internal combustion engine having an exhaust system which has at least one catalytic converter, wherein the internal combustion engine is operated with a liquid fuel during starting and is changed over to operation with a gaseous fuel after a starting phase and the changeover from the liquid to the gaseous fuel is effected at a switch-over instant t1 which is set as a function of at least one ageing parameter of the catalytic converter. During a change in the at least one ageing parameter of the catalytic converter, the switch-over instant t1 is correspondingly adapted and/or changed.

L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne bivalent et un procédé de fonctionnement un moteur à combustion interne bivalent comprenant un circuit d'échappement qui présente au moins un catalyseur, le moteur à combustion interne fonctionnant avec un carburant liquide lors du démarrage et basculant après une phase de démarrage sur un fonctionnement avec un carburant gazeux et le basculement du carburant liquide au carburant gazeux s'effectuant à un instant de basculement t1 qui est réglé en fonction d'au moins un paramètre de vieillissement du catalyseur. En cas de modification dudit ou desdits paramètres de vieillissement du catalyseur, l'instant de basculement t1 est adapté et/ou modifié en conséquence.
