Abstract
(EN)
Modulation of the integrin-linked kinase (ILK)-regulated signaling pathway can enhance the remodeling process relevant to a wide range of clinical heart diseases Specifically, over-expression of ILK is used in a process for enhancing post-infarction cardiac remodeling, while moderation of expression of ILK is used for inducing angiogenesis or angiostasis The modulation of ILK expression is obtained by genetic manipulation A determination of the level of ILK protein expression is also useful for diagnosing human ventricular hypertrophy.
(FR)
