Abstract

A practical technique for inducing and controlling the fusion of nuclei within a solid lattice. A reactor includes a loading source to provide the light nuclei which are to be fused, a lattice which can absorb the light nuclei, a source of phonon energy, and a control mechanism to start and stop stimulation of phonon energy and/or the loading of reactants. The lattice transmits phonon energy sufficient to affect electron-nucleus collapse. By controlling the stimulation of phonon energy and controlling the loading of light nuclei into the lattice, energy released by the fusion reactions is allowed to dissipate before it builds to the point that it causes destruction of the reaction lattice.

Technique pratique servant à induire et à contrôler la fusion de noyaux à l'intérieur d'un milieu solide. Un réacteur comprend une source de chargement servant à produire les noyaux de lumière devant être fusionnés, un milieu pouvant absorber les noyaux de lumière, une source d'énergie de phonons et un mécanisme de commande permettant de déclencher et d'arrêter la stimulation de l'énergie des phonons et/ou le chargement de réactifs. Le milieu transmet une énergie de phonons suffisante pour jouer un rôle dans l'affaissement du noyau électronique. Le contrôle de la stimulation de l'énergie des phonons et du chargement des noyaux de lumière dans le milieu permet de dissiper l'énergie libérée par les réactions de fusion avant qu'elle s'accumule au point de provoquer la destruction du milieu réactionnel.
