Abstract

This invention discloses a power control system comprising a prime mover and a generator driven by the prime mover. A control device is coupled with the generator to ascertain a change in speed of the generator and vary an output power of the generator according to the change. The control device applies a signal to reduce the generator output power and another signal to restore the generator output power. The power control system may include a transmission, a speed converter, and/or an accessory.

L'invention concerne un système de régulation de puissance, comprenant un moteur primaire et un générateur entraîné par le moteur primaire. Un dispositif de régulation est couplé au générateur pour identifier un changement de vitesse du générateur et, en fonction de celui-ci, en faire varier la puissance de sortie. Le dispositif de régulation applique un signal destiné à réduire la puissance de sortie du générateur et un autre signal destiné à rétablir la puissance de sortie du générateur. Le système de régulation de puissance peut comporter une transmission, un convertisseur de vitesse et/ou un dispositif auxiliaire.
