(EN)Method for reducing air wave and/or magnetotelluric noise in controlled source electromagnetic surveying by either shielding the source (61) from the air interface, shielding the receivers from downward traveling electromagnetic energy, or by employing a second source (62) to preferentially cancel the air wave (and MT) part of the signal, or a combination of the preceding.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé servant à réduire une onde aérienne et/ou un bruit magnétotellurique (MT) lors de l'exécution de levés électromagnétiques à source commandée. On obtient cette réduction grâce au blindage de la source par rapport à l'interface d'air, grâce au blindage des récepteurs pour éviter tout cheminement aval de l'énergie électromagnétique, et/ou en faisant intervenir une deuxième source pour annuler de préférence la partie onde aérienne (et MT) du signal.
