(EN)The invention consists of an electroactive polymer (10, 10') which is stretched and held by a frame (22) so as to form a diaphragm. The diaphragm can be actuated in at least two directions upon voltage application and the electroactive polymer (10, 10') includes an acrylic layer. The device is operable in the low frequency range, from about 0.1 to 300 Hz. The diaphragm includes a weight member (42). The diaphragm and frame configurations may include a bow-type device, a bowtie-type device and others.
