Methods are disclosed for producing metal bases, such as copings and bridge substrates, for dental restorations, in which a preform of the metal base is made by three-dimensional printing using a metal powder and a printing binder to form box-like printing primitives on at least one surface of the preform that is to receive an enamel-like coating. The preforms may be further processed by sintering, infiltration, and/or hot isostatic pressing and have at least one surface characterized by the presence of a plurality of protuberances which act to promote the binding of the enamel-like coating without an oxidation heat treatment. Enamel-like coatings may be applied to the metal bases to form dental restorations such as crowns and bridges.

L'invention concerne des procédés de production de bases métalliques, par exemple des couronnes et des supports de pontage pour restauration dentaire, dans lesquels une ébauche de la base métallique est réalisée par impression tridimensionnelle à l'aide d'une poudre métallique et d'un liant d'impression de manière à former des primitives d'impression en forme de boîtes sur au moins une surface de l'ébauche destinée à recevoir un revêtement de type émail. Les ébauches peuvent encore être traitées par frittage, imprégnation et/ou compression isostatique à chaud et au moins une de leurs surfaces est caractérisée par la présence de plusieurs protubérances qui agissent pour favoriser la liaison du revêtement de type émail sans traitement thermique d'oxydation. Les revêtements de type émail peuvent être appliqués sur les bases métalliques pour former des restaurations dentaires telles que des couronnes et des pontages.
