A silicon-carbide-based porous object which comprises silicon carbide particles as an aggregate and silicon metal, and further contains an aggregate derived from organometallic-compound particles which shrink through decomposition/conversion in a heat treatment and hence form voids. Also provided is a process for producing a silicon-carbide-based porous object which comprises adding organometallic-compound particles which shrink through decomposition/conversion in a heat treatment and hence form voids to a raw-material mixture comprising silicon carbide particles and silicon metal, subsequently molding the resultant mixture into a given shape, and subjecting the molding obtained to calcination and/or burning to cause the organometallic-compound particles to undergo decomposition/conversion, shrink, and form voids. Thus, a porous object is obtained in which the substance resulting from the decomposition/conversion of the organometallic-compound particles is present as an aggregate.

Cette invention concerne un objet poreux à base de carbure de silicium, lequel objet comprend des particules de carbure de silicium formant un agrégat et un silicium métal. L'objet comprend également un agrégat obtenu à partir de particules d'un composé organométallique qui se rétractent par décomposition/conversion à l'application d'un traitement thermique entraînant la formation de vides. En outre, cette invention concerne également un procédé permettant de produire un objet poreux à base de carbure de silicium, lequel procédé consiste à ajouter à un mélange de matériaux bruts constitué de particules de carbure de silicium et de silicium métal, des particules d'un composé organométallique qui se rétractent par décomposition/conversion sous l'effet d'un traitement thermique, entraînant la formation de vides, puis à mouler le mélange obtenu dans une forme donnée; à soumettre le moulage obtenu à la calcination et/ou au brûlage de manière à induire la décomposition/conversion des particules du composé organométallique, leur réduction et, ainsi, la formation de vides. Un tel mode de réalisation permet d'obtenir un objet poreux dans lequel la substance obtenue à partir de la décomposition/conversion des particules du composé organométallique se présente sous la forme d'un agrégat.

 骨材となる炭化珪素粒子と金属珪素とを含み、且つ熱処理により分解・転化することで体積収縮し、気孔を形成する有機金属化合物粒子由来の骨材を含む炭化珪素質多孔体、および、炭化珪素粒子及び金属珪素を含む原料混合物に、熱処理により分解・転化することで体積収縮し、気孔を形成する有機金属化合物粒子を添加した後、所定形状に成形し、得られた成形体を仮焼及び/又は本焼成し、有機金属化合物粒子が分解・転化し、体積収縮して気孔を形成し、有機金属化合物粒子が分解・転化した物質が骨材として存在する多孔体を得る炭化珪素質多孔体の製造方法である。
