Process for making a polyisocyanurate composite which process comprises combining a polyisocyanate, a polyether polyol and a trimerization catalyst with a to-be-bonded material to form a reactive composite, and allowing in a next step this reactive composite to react at elevated temperature, wherein the amount of the reactive binder composition is 1 - 60 % by weight and the amount of the to-be-bonded material is 40 - 99 % by weight, both calculated on the amount of the reactive binder composition plus the amount of th e to-be-bonded material, wherein the amount of the polyisocyanate and the polyol is such that the index is 150 - 10000, characterized in that the polyol is a polyol having an average equivalent weight of 100 - 2500 and an oxyethylene content of at least 50 % by weight. The reactive composite is claimed as well together with composites obtained from this process and from these reactive composites.

L'invention concerne un procédé servant à fabriquer un composite de polyisocyanurate consistant à combiner un polyisocyanate, un polyol de polyéther et un catalyseur de trimérisation avec une matière à lier pour former un composite réactif et à laisser dans une étape suivante ce composite réactif réagir à haute température, la quantité de la composition de liant réactif étant de 1-60 % en poids et la quantité de la matière à lier étant de 40-99 % en poids, toutes deux calculées par rapport à la somme de la quantité de la composition de liant réactif et de la quantité de la matière à lier, la quantité du polyisocyanate et du polyol étant telle que l'indice est de 150-10000, le polyol étant un polyol ayant un poids équivalent moyen de 100-2500 et une teneur en oxyde d'éthylène d'au moins 50 % en poids. L'invention concerne également le composite réactif ainsi que les composites obtenus à partir de ce procédé et à partir de ces composites réactifs.
