Abstract

Methods are provided of producing a heater cable. An electrical conductor is coated with a preceramic resin. At least a portion of the coated electrical conductor is deployed into a operational location. The preceramic resin is pyrolyzed while the portion of the coated electrical conductor is in the operational location to convert the preceramic resin into a ceramic insulator disposed to electrically insulate the electrical conductor from the sheath.

La présente invention concerne des procédés de production d'un câble chauffant. Un conducteur électrique est revêtu d'une résine précéramique. Au moins une partie du conducteur électrique revêtu est déployée dans une zone opérationnelle. La résine précéramique est pyrolysée quand la partie du conducteur électrique revêtu est dans la zone opérationnelle pour convertir la résine précéramique en un isolant céramique disposé de façon à isoler électriquement le conducteur électrique de la gaine.
