(EN)The present invention relates to a process for preparing polyarylate, and more specifically, to a process for preparing polyarylate by interfacial polymerization of a bivalent phenol compound and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or a halide thereof, which comprises mixing a cationic catalyst for the phase transition and a nonionic surfactant in a predetermined ratio, to further increase the yield of polyarylate, as compared with the case of using each of the nonionic surfactant and the cationic catalyst for the phase transition alone.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un procédé de préparation de polyarylate et concerne plus spécifiquement un procédé de préparation de polyarylate par polymérisation interfaciale d'un composé phénol bivalent et d'un acide dicarboxylique aromatique ou d'un halogénure de celui-ci, lequel procédé consiste à mélanger un catalyseur cationique pour la transition de phase avec un tensioactif non ionique selon un rapport prédéterminé afin d'augmenter encore la production de polyarylate comparée à celle obtenue par un procédé utilisant individuellement le tensioactif non ionique et le catalyseur cationique pour la transition de phase.
