(EN)Disclosed is an actuator using a multilayer composite material which enables both large deformation and high output. Specifically disclosed is an actuator characterized by comprising a plurality of multilayer composite materials each comprising a pair of substrates having different thermal expansion coefficients and an insulating layer held between the substrates, and an elastic layer held between the multilayer composite materials.
