A display control device includes: means (1) for making a supplied video signal into a high frame rate; means (2) for combining two or more video signals of high frame rate into one set and specifying a non-display region of video in respective frames of the set so that in each of the frames in the set, video is displayed only in a part of a screen and when all the frames of the set are combined, a video is displayed in all the regions of the screen; means (3) for masking the non-display region specified by the means (2) for each of the frames of the video signal made into the high frame rate; and means (4) for driving display means (6) so as to display the video signal masked by the means (3). This prevents re-imaging of video data protected by copyright, at a low cost.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de commande d'affichage comprenant : un moyen (1) qui convertit un signal vidéo reçu en une fréquence d'images élevée ; un moyen (2) qui combine deux ou plusieurs signaux vidéo à fréquence d'images élevée en un ensemble et qui définit une zone de non-affichage vidéo dans des trames respectives de l'ensemble afin que, pour chacune de ses trames, des images ne soient affichées que dans une partie d'un écran et que, lorsque toutes les trames de l'ensemble sont combinées, des images soient affichées dans toutes les zones de l'écran ; un moyen (3) qui masque la zone de non-affichage définie par le deuxième moyen (2) pour chaque trame du signal vidéo converti en la fréquence d'images élevée ; et un moyen (4) qui commande un dispositif d'affichage (6) pour afficher le signal vidéo masqué par le troisième moyen (3). Le procédé permet d'éviter, à faible coût, une reformation d'images faisant l'objet d'une protection du droit d'auteur.
