An electromagnetic suspension device comprising one member (1), the other member (2) performing relative motion to the one member (1), and a motor (M) which can suppress at least the relative motion, wherein d-phase and q-phase current values (id, iq) are determined from currents (iv, iu) flowing through the motor (M) and the electric angle &thetas; of a rotor through the use of dq conversion, and the motor (M) is controlled based on a d-phase voltage command value Vd1 and a q-phase voltage command value Vq1, the device being further provided with a means (23) for correcting the d-phase voltage command value Vd1 based on the q-phase current (iq) and the electric angular speed &ohgr; of the rotor, and correcting the q-phase voltage command value Vq1 based on the d-phase current (id) and the electric angular speed &ohgr; of the rotor.
