A method for preparing a flexible film substrate with a low glass transition temperature can be used in the production of an article that retains dimensions and improves the surface smoothness after high temperature processing. The invention, for example, would enable low temperature films such as PET and PEN to be dimensionally stable and ultra flat at conditions commonly used in electronic processing which can typically exceed 200°C. More specifically, the methods enable the use of e.g. barrier films based on PET or PEN in OLED/PLED manufacturing.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un substrat à couche souple présentant une faible température de transition vitreuse, susceptible d'être utilisé dans la fabrication d'un article afin d'assurer une stabilité dimensionnelle et d'obtenir une surface plus lisse suite à un traitement à hautes températures. L'invention permet, par exemple, d'obtenir des couches à faible température de transition vitreuse, notamment des couches en PET et en PEN, dimensionnellement stables et ultra-plates aux températures couramment utilisées lors du traitement de composants électroniques, souvent supérieures à 200°C. Le procédé de l'invention permet notamment l'utilisation de couches-barrières à base de PET ou de PEN dans la fabrication de diodes luminescentes organiques/polymères.
