(EN)Disclosed is a flame-retardant styrene resin composition. The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a styrene resin, 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a brominated flame-retarder which has a bromine content of 60% by weight or higher, and 0.005 to 0.5 part by weight of urea, thiourea or an N-substituted derivative thereof. By using an urea compound concomitantly, the amount of the brominated frame-retarder required for achieving a desired flame retardancy level can be reduced.
(FR)L'invention concerne une composition de résine de styrène ignifuge. La composition comprend 100 parties par poids d'une résine de styrène, de 0,5 à 10 parties par poids d'un enduit de sécurité bromé, dont la teneur en brome est supérieure ou égale à 60 % en poids, et de 0,005 à 0,5 partie par poids d'urée, de thiourée ou d'un de leurs dérivés N-substitués. L'utilisation simultanée d'un composé d'urée permet de réduire la quantité d'enduit de sécurité bromé nécessaire pour atteindre le niveau d'ininflammabilité voulu.
