A processing tool used to finish an end face of a portion of a workpiece into a shape having a circular arc-like cross-section. The processing tool (30) has a tool body (31) and an edge (32) provided integrally with the tip of the tool body (31). The edge (32) has a hemisphere shape having a clearance surface (33) with a substantially spherical shape and also having a substantially flat rake surface (35) continuing to the clearance surface (33) with a circular arc-like cutting edge (34) present between the surfaces. The processing tool (30) finishes a circular arc-like end face, and during the finishing, the position of engagement of the cutting edge (34)with the circular arc-like end face is varied in the circumferential direction with the cutting edge (34) engaged with the end face of the workpiece in rotation.

L'invention concerne un outil de traitement utilisé pour la finition d'une face terminale d'une partie d'une pièce de travail en lui conférant une forme présentant une section droite en arc de cercle. L'outil (30) de traitement est doté d'un corps (31) d'outil et d'une arête (32) formée de façon intégrée avec le bout du corps (31) d'outil. L'arête (32) présente une forme hémisphérique dotée d'une surface (33) de dépouille de forme sensiblement sphérique et également dotée d'une surface (35) de coupe sensiblement plate se prolongeant jusqu'à la surface (33) de dépouille, une arête tranchante (34) en arc de cercle étant présente entre lesdites surfaces. L'outil (30) de traitement assure la finition d'une face terminale en arc de cercle et, au cours de la finition, la position d'engagement de l'arête tranchante (34) avec la face terminale en arc de cercle varie dans la direction circonférentielle, l'arête tranchante (34) étant en interaction avec la face terminale de la pièce de travail en rotation.

 本発明の加工工具は被加工物の被加工部位に断面が円弧状の端面を仕上げ加工するために使用される。加工工具30は工具本体31と工具本体31の先端に一体に設けられる刃部32とを有している。刃部32はほぼ球面形状の逃げ面33と、円弧状の切刃エッジ34を介して逃げ面33に繋がるほぼ平坦なすくい面35とを有するほぼ半球形状となっている。この加工工具30により、回転状態の被加工物の円弧状の端面に切刃エッジ34を突き当てた状態のもとで、切刃エッジ34の円弧状端面に対する突き当て位置を円周方向に変化させながら円弧状端面が仕上げ加工される。
