Process for manufacturing a plastic fuel tank, the tank being provided with at least one accessory connected to the internal space of the tank via at least one orifice in the wall (14) of this tank, said process comprising the steps consisting in supplying a flexible film (12) and placing it on the tank so as to cover the interface between the tank and the accessory, and welding the film (12), preferably by means of laser radiation, over its entire peripheral area, to the wall (14) of the tank. According to an important aspect of the invention, before welding, a vacuum is created between the flexible film (12) and the wall (14) of the tank using a vacuum tool having a suction chamber comprising: - an opening directed towards both the flexible film and the support, the opening in the suction chamber being peripheral and formed in such a way as to rest over the edge of the flexible film over its entire periphery; and - at least one suction channel for sucking out the air from the suction chamber.

La présente invention concerne un processus de fabrication de réservoir de carburant en plastique, ce réservoir étant pourvu d'au moins un accessoire connecté à l'espace intérieur du réservoir via au moins un orifice dans la paroi (14) de ce réservoir. Ce processus consiste à prendre un film souple (12) et à le placer sur le réservoir de façon à recouvrir l'interface entre le réservoir et l'accessoire et, à souder ce film (12), de préférence au moyen d'un rayonnement laser, sur toute sa zone périphérique à la paroi (14) du réservoir. Selon un aspect important de l'invention, avant le soudage, on crée le vide entre le film souple (12) et la paroi (14) du réservoir au moyen d'un outil permettant de faire le vide possédant une chambre d'aspiration comprenant: une ouverture dirigée vers le film souple et le support, cette ouverture dans la chambre d'aspiration étant périphérique et formée de manière à reposer sur le bord du film souple sur toute sa périphérie et, au moins un canal d'aspiration destiné à aspirer l'air hors de la chambre d'aspiration.
