Abstract
(EN)
A method, apparatus, and system for affecting neuromodulation based upon an evoking signal applied to a patient's body. An internal and/or external evoking and/or therapeutic signal is applied to a first target portion of a patient's body. Data relating to a physiological response resulting from the internal and/or external evoking and/or therapeutic signal is received. A neurotransmission characteristic of the patient's body is determined based upon the data relating to the physiological response. At least one parameter defining an electrical therapeutic signal provided by an implantable medical device is controlled based upon the determined neurotransmission characteristic to treat a disorder.

La présente invention concerne un procédé, un appareil et un système permettant d'agir sur la modulation en utilisant un signal de stimulation appliqué au corps d'un patient. En l'occurrence, on applique à une première zone cible du corps d'un patient un signal stimulateur et/ou thérapeutique interne et/ou externe. On reçoit des données se rapportant à une réponse physiologique résultant du signal stimulateur et/ou thérapeutique interne et/ou externe. On s'appuie alors sur les données se rapportant à la réponse physiologique pour déterminer une caractéristique de neurotransmission du corps du patient. Pour traiter un trouble, le procédé consiste à s'appuyer sur la caractéristique de neurotransmission pour agir sur l'un au moins des paramètres définissant un signal électrique thérapeutique fourni par un dispositif médical implantable.
