Disclosed is an apparatus or process for production of a highly pure diol in an industrial scale using a cyclic carbonate and an aliphatic monohydric alcohol as starting materials. More specifically, disclosed is an industrial apparatus or industrial process for production of the highly pure diol at low cost, wherein the apparatus or process enables to produce the highly pure diol stably in an amount of 1 ton/hour or more, preferably 2 tons/hour or more, more preferably 3 tons/hour or more for a long period (e.g., 1000 hours or longer, preferably 3000 hours or longer, more preferably 5000 hours or longer). The apparatus or process is characterized in that continuous multi-component distillation columns (A), (C) and (E) each having a specific structure are used and a liquid component is drawn from a side-cut drain outlet provided in the upper part of a chimney tray having a specific structure which is placed in a concentration unit of the distillation column (E).

La présente invention concerne un appareil ou procédé de production d'un diol de grande pureté à une échelle industrielle utilisant un carbonate cyclique et un alcool monohydrique aliphatique en tant que produits de départ. La présente invention concerne plus spécifiquement un appareil industriel ou un procédé industriel de production du diol de grande pureté à bas coût, l'appareil ou le procédé permettant de produire le diol de grande pureté de manière stable en une quantité supérieure ou égale à 1 tonne/heure, de préférence supérieure ou égale à 2 tonnes/heure, mieux encore supérieure à 3 tonnes/heure sur une longue période (par exemple, 1000 heures ou plus, de préférence 3000 heures ou plus, mieux encore 5000 heures ou plus). L'appareil ou le procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on utilise les colonnes de distillation continue à plusieurs composants (A), (C) et (E) ayant chacune une structure spécifique et en ce que l'on retire un composant liquide à partir d'une sortie de drain à coupe latérale disposée dans la partie supérieure d'un plateau de cheminée ayant une structure spécifique, lequel est placé dans une unité de concentration de la colonne de distillation (E).

 本発明が解決しようとする課題は、環状カーボネートと脂肪族1価アルコールとを原料とし、高純度ジオールを工業的に製造する具体的な装置及び方法を提供することにある。そしてそのことによって、例えば、高純度ジオールを1時間あたり1トン以上、好ましくは2トン以上、より好ましくは3トン以上の量で、長期間(例えば、1000時間以上、好ましくは3000時間以上、より好ましくは5000時間以上)安定的に製造できる具体的な安価な工業的装置及び工業的製造方法を提供することにある。本発明によれば、特定の構造を有する連続多段蒸留塔A、連続多段蒸留塔C及び連続多段蒸留塔Eを用い、しかも該連続多段蒸留塔Eの濃縮部に設置された特定の構造を有するチムニートレイの下部に設置されたサイドカット抜き出し口から、液状の成分を抜き出すことによって、上記の課題が達成できる。
