A gasket formed of compressible material and having a first sealing surface and a second sealing surface for providing a fluid seal between a first component and a second component, a plurality of cavities provided within the gasket proximate the first and/or second sealing surfaces and extending over at least a first portion of the gasket to provide increased compressibility of the gasket in the first portion.

L'invention concerne un joint formé de matériau compressible et présentant une première surface d'étanchéité et une deuxième surface d'étanchéité afin d'assurer une étanchéité aux fluides entre un premier composant et un deuxième composant, une pluralité de cavités ménagées à l'intérieur du joint à proximité de la première et / ou de la deuxième surfaces d'étanchéité et s'étendant sur au moins une première partie du joint pour donner une compressibilité accrue au joint dans la première partie.
