Abstract

A factor affecting the sensitivity to an anticancer agent is analyzed and the efficacy of the factor is demonstrated. Disclosed is a method for predicting the sensitivity to a 5-fluorouracil-type anticancer agent by utilizing the copy number of a dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase gene as a measure. Also disclosed is a kit or primer for use in the prediction of the sensitivity to a 5-fluorouracil-type anticancer agent.
