A system for using a predetermined sequence of transmission modes together with power sequencing in order to reduce signaling while improving SNIR levels. Each sequence comprises a vector of transmission modes, where each mode can include a signal constellation, a concatenated channel coding type and rate and, for multiple- input multiple-output systems, one type of matrix modulation. Base transceiver stations can estimate the interference condition for each piece of user equipment and, based on this information, will preferably decide an optimal sequence for each item of user equipment.

L'invention concerne un système qui permet d'utiliser une séquence prédeterminée de modes de transmission associée à un découpage en séquences de l'alimentation pour réduire la signalisation tout en améliorant les niveaux du SNIR. Chaque séquence comprend un vecteur de modes de transmission et chaque mode peut comprendre une constellation de signaux, un type et un taux de codage de voie à concaténation et, pour des systèmes à entrées multiples et sorties multiples, un type de modulation matricielle. Des stations émettrices-réceptrices de base peuvent estimer l'état d'interférence pour chaque pièce d'un équipement utilisateur et, sur la base de ces informations, décider de préférence d'une séquence optimale pour chaque élément de l'équipement utilisateur.
