(EN)There are provided amphiphilic biodegradable copolymers comprising a hydrophilic backbone with pendant aliphatic groups as the hydrophobic component. The polymers form nanoscale molecular aggregates in aqueous environments, which have hydrophobic interiors that are capable of solubilizing insoluble organic compounds such as drugs, vitamins, dyes, and imaging agents. The polymers optionally feature reactive functional groups that provide attachment points for antibodies, ligands, and other targeting moieties useful for the targeted delivery of drugs and imaging agents.
(FR)La présente invention concerne des copolymères biodégradables amphiphiles qui comprennent un squelette hydrophile et des groupements aliphatiques latéraux au titre de composant hydrophobe. Les polymères forment des agrégats moléculaires nanoscopiques dans des environnements aqueux, lesdits agrégats présentant des espaces internes hydrophobes susceptibles de solubiliser des composés organiques insolubles tels que les médicaments, les vitamines, les colorants et les agents d'imagerie. Les polymères présentent éventuellement des groupements fonctionnels réactifs qui comportent des points d'arrimage pour les anticorps, les ligands ou d'autres entités capables de ciblage utiles dans la libération ciblée de médicaments et d’agents d'imagerie.
