(EN)Novel discotic liquid crystalline porphyrins and discotic liquid crystalline metal complexes, methods for their preparation, and device fabrication are disclosed. Materials with partially perfluorinated alkyl group in the peripheral chains show a strong tendency towards the formation of homeotropic alignment. These compounds are capable of being used as high-efficiency photovoltaic materials, organic semiconducting materials, and organic light emitting materials and materials for organic transistors.
(FR)L'invention concerne de nouvelles porphyrines à cristaux liquides discotiques et de nouveaux complexes métalliques à cristaux liquides discotiques, des procédés d'élaboration de ceux-ci, et la fabrication d'un dispositif. Les matériaux présentant un groupe alkyle partiellement perfluoré dans les chaînes périphériques ont fortement tendance à former un alignement homéotropique. Ces composés peuvent être utilisés comme matériaux photovoltaïques hautement efficaces, matériaux semi-conducteurs organiques, matériaux électroluminescents organiques et matériaux pour transistors organiques.
