(EN)A pitcher (100) for drinking water, and a method therefor, which utilizes UV for disinfection. Contaminated water is supplied to an upper reservoir (102). The water flows through a unique UV reactor (108) to the lower reservoir which can store and serve safe, disinfected water. The reactor (108) incorporates a UV lamp which is powered from a remote ballast (110), connected through wires/conductors, plugs and receptacles in the appliance.
(FR)L'invention porte sur un pot à eau potable (10) et sur un procédé associé de désinfection aux ultraviolets. L'eau contaminée est placée dans un réservoir supérieur (102). L'eau s'écoule à travers un unique réacteur à UV (108) jusque dans un réservoir inférieur qui permet de stocker et de servir une eau désinfectée, sans danger. Le réacteur (108) comprend une lampe à UV intégrée qui est alimentée à partir d'un ballast éloigné (110), relié via des fils/conducteurs à des fiches mâles et femelles dans le dispositif.
