Abstract:
(EN) An organic electroluminescent element (organic EL element) which has improved luminescent efficiency, sufficiently retains operation stability, and has a simple constitution; and a compound for use therein. This organic electroluminescent element comprises a substrate, an anode and cathode superposed thereover, and a luminescent layer sandwiched between the electrodes, wherein the luminescent layer comprises a phosphorescent dopant and, as a host material, a compound for organic electroluminescent elements which has two or more indolocarbazole skeletons. An example of the indolocarbazole compound for use in the element is the compound represented by the following formula.
(FR) L’invention concerne un élément électroluminescent organique (élément EL organique) présentant une efficacité de luminescence améliorée, une stabilité suffisante en fonctionnement et étant de constitution simple ; ainsi qu’un composé destiné à une utilisation dans cet élément. Cet élément électroluminescent organique comprend un substrat sur lequel sont superposées une anode et une cathode et une couche luminescente entre les électrodes, ladite couche luminescente comprenant un dopant phosphorescent et, en tant que matériau hôte, un composé pour éléments électroluminescents organiques comprenant deux squelettes indolocarbazole ou plus. Le composé représenté par la formule suivante constitue un exemple de composé indolocarbazole utilisé dans l’élément.
