Disclosed is an electron emission source which has fine carbon fibers dispersed therein more uniformly than those in a conventional electron emission source and can be manufactured in a simple manner. The electron emission source is manufactured by preparing a dispersion solution of a carbon fiber structure comprising at least a carbon fiber structure and a binder resin, and applying the dispersion solution onto a base material, and solidifying the applied dispersion solution, wherein the carbon fiber structure has a three-dimensional network structure formed with carbon fibers each having an outer diameter of 15 to 100 nm and has a particulate part that binds up the carbon fibers in such a manner where the carbon fibers are extended from the particulate part and the particulate part is formed in the growing process of the carbon fibers.

La présente invention concerne une source d'émission d'électrons qui possède de fines fibres de carbone dispersées dans celle-ci de manière plus uniforme que celles dans une source traditionnelle d'émission d'électrons et peut être fabriquée de manière simple. La source d'émission d'électrons est fabriquée par la préparation d’une solution de dispersion d'une structure de fibres de carbone comprenant au moins une structure de fibres de carbone et une résine de liant, par l’application de la solution de dispersion sur un matériau de base, et par la solidification de la solution de dispersion appliquée, la structure de fibres de carbone ayant une structure en réseau tridimensionnel formée avec des fibres de carbone ayant chacune un diamètre externe de 15 à 100 nm et ayant une partie particulaire qui lie les fibres de carbone d'une telle façon que les fibres de carbone soient prolongées à partir de la partie particulaire et la partie particulaire étant formée dans un procédé de croissance des fibres de carbone.

 従来の電子放出源に比べ、微細炭素繊維が均一に分散されており、その製造も容易な電子放出源を提供する。  少なくとも、外径15~100nmの炭素繊維から構成される3次元ネットワーク状を呈しており、前記炭素繊維が複数延出する態様で、当該炭素繊維を互いに結合する粒状部を有しており、かつ、当該粒状部は前記炭素繊維の成長過程において形成されてなるものである炭素繊維構造体と、バインダー樹脂と、からなる炭素繊維構造体分散液を形成し、前記炭素繊維構造体分散溶液を基板上に塗布し、固化することにより電子放出源とする。
