In an elevator device, travel of an elevator car is braked by first and second brake devices. Operation of the first and second brake devices is controlled by a brake control device. When a quick stop command for the car is issued, the brake control device first causes the first brake device to perform braking operation, and when the retardation is equal to or less than a predetermined level after the elapse of a predetermined time, the brake control device causes the second brake device to perform braking operation.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'ascenseur dans lequel le mouvement d'une cabine d'ascenseur est freiné par un premier et un second dispositif de freinage. Le fonctionnement du premier et du second dispositif de freinage est piloté par un dispositif de contrôle de freinage. Lors de l'émission d'une commande d'arrêt instantané de la cabine, le dispositif de contrôle de freinage actionne le premier dispositif de freinage et lorsque la décélération est inférieure ou égale à une valeur prédéfinie après écoulement d'une période déterminée, le dispositif de contrôle de freinage actionne le second dispositif de freinage.
