Es ist ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von Stapelfasern aus schmelzgesponnenen Hohlfasern beschrieben. Um die Herstellung mit möglichst geringem apparativen Aufwand betreiben zu können, werden die Hohlfasern in einem kontinuierlichen Faserfluß vom Schmelzspinnen bis zum Zerschneiden geführt, wobei die Hohlfasern beim Schmelzspinnen einer Polymerschmelze jeweils durch eine ringsegmentförmige Düsenöffnung mit einem Hülldurchmesser im Bereich von 0,2 mm bis 0,8 mm und einem Hohlanteil von max. 60 % vorzugsweise max. 40 % extrudiert werden.

Disclosed are a method and a device for producing staple fibers from melt-spun hollow fibers. In order to be able to produce said staple fibers with as little complexity as possible regarding the equipment, the hollow fibers are guided in a continuous fiber flow from the melt-spinning process to the cutting process, the hollow fibers being extruded through a ring segment-shaped nozzle port that has an outer diameter ranging from 0.2 to 0.8 mm and a maximum hollow proportion of 60 percent, preferably 40 percent, during melt-spinning of a polymer melt.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour réaliser des fibres discontinues à partir de fibres creuses filées à chaud. L'invention vise à réaliser ces fibres avec le moins d'appareils possible. A cet effet, les fibres creuses sont transportées dans un flux de fibres continu du filage à chaud à la coupe, et, lors du filage à chaud d'un polymère fondu, les fibres creuses sont extrudées par un orifice de filière à segment annulaire avec un diamètre d'enveloppe se situant entre 0,2 mm et 0,8 mm et la partie creuse étant au maximum de 60 % de préférence au maximum de 40 %.
