A method of generating an adaptive temporal filter is performed by constructing a motion vector area cell around each of a plurality of motion vectors in a target image, selecting a pixel in the target image, constructing a pixel area cell around the selected pixel, determining an overlap area between the motion vector area cells and the pixel area cell, generating filter weights from the overlap area, and using the filter weights to filter the selected pixel.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour produire un filtre temporel adaptatif, qui consiste à établir une cellule de zone de vecteur de mouvement autour de chacun d'une pluralité de vecteurs de mouvement dans une image cible, à sélectionner un pixel dans l'image cible, à établir la cellule de zone de pixel autour du pixel sélectionné, à déterminer une zone de chevauchement entre les cellules de zone de vecteur de mouvement et la cellule de zone de pixel, à produire des pondérations de filtre à partir de la zone de chevauchement, puis à utiliser les pondérations de filtre afin de filtrer le pixel sélectionné.
