When hydrogen is taken out, para-hydrogen having a low energy is converted into ortho-hydrogen having a high energy, and a cooling effect of endothermy of the para-ortho conversion is utilized for maintaining the temperature within a hydrogen storage device (10) low. For accomplishing such a system, there is provided a hydrogen storage device (10) for storing a liquid hydrogen (21), wherein a porous magnetic body serving as a para-ortho conversion catalyst is arranged in a hydrogen circulation opening (13).

L’invention concerne un dispositif de stockage d’hydrogène, selon lequel, lorsque de l’hydrogène est prélevé, un para-hydrogène de faible énergie est transformé en un ortho-hydrogène de haute énergie, l'effet endothermique refroidissant de la transformation para-ortho étant utilisé pour maintenir la température dans le dispositif de stockage d’hydrogène (10) basse. L'obtention d'un tel système a lieu en utilisant un dispositif de stockage d'hydrogène (10) destiné au stockage d’hydrogène liquide (21), un corps magnétique poreux servant de catalyseur de la transformation para-ortho étant disposé dans une ouverture de circulation de l’hydrogène (13).
