Disclosed are a hydrophobic linear polyrotaxane molecule which is soluble in an organic solvent, and a crosslinked polyrotaxane using such a hydrophobic linear polyrotaxane molecule. Specifically disclosed is a hydrophobic linear polyrotaxane molecule comprising a cyclic molecule, a linear molecule passing through the cyclic molecule and enclosed thereby, and blocking groups arranged on both ends of the linear molecule for preventing elimination of the cyclic molecule. The linear molecule is hydrophobic. The linear molecule is a polycaprolactone and has a molecular weight of 5,000-100,000. The cyclic molecule is &agr;-cyclodextrin, &bgr;-cyclodextrin or ϝ-cyclodextrin. A crosslinked polyrotaxane is obtained by bonding such a hydrophobic linear polyrotaxane molecule and a polymer through the cyclic molecule.

La présente invention concerne une molécule de polyrotaxane linéaire hydrophobe qui est soluble dans un solvant organique, et un polyrotaxane réticulé utilisant une telle molécule de polyrotaxane linéaire hydrophobe. La présente invention concerne plus spécifiquement une molécule de polyrotaxane linéaire hydrophobe comprenant une molécule cyclique, une molécule linéaire passant à travers la molécule cyclique et entourée par celle-ci, et des groupes de blocage disposés sur les deux extrémités de la molécule linéaire pour empêcher l'élimination de la molécule cyclique. La molécule linéaire est hydrophobe. La molécule linéaire est une polycaprolactone et a une masse moléculaire allant de 5000 à 100 000. La molécule cyclique est une a-cyclodextrine, une ß-cyclodextrine ou une ?-cyclodextrine. Un polyrotaxane réticulé est obtenu en liant une telle molécule de polyrotaxane linéaire hydrophobe et un polymère par l'intermédiaire de la molécule cyclique.

【課題】有機溶剤に可溶な疎水性直鎖状分子ポリロタキサン、及びこれを用いた架橋ポリロタキサンを提供すること。 【解決手段】疎水性直鎖状分子ポリロタキサンは、環状分子と、この環状分子に串刺し状に包接される直鎖状分子と、この直鎖状分子の両末端に配置され上記環状分子の脱離を防止する封鎖基とを有する。直鎖状分子が疎水性である。直鎖状分子はポリカプロラクトンで、その分子量は5,000~100,000である。環状分子はα-シクロデキストリン、β-シクロデキストリン又はγ-シクロデキストリンである。  架橋ポリロタキサンは、この疎水性直鎖状分子ポリロタキサンと、ポリマーを環状分子を介して結合して成る。
