(EN)The present invention is a transgenic non-human animal whose genome contains a transgene containing a nucleic acid encoding a cyclin E protein operably linked to a regulatory element including a lung-specific promoter. The transgenic animals of the present invention have elevated levels cyclin E protein in the lung and have in increased occurrence of lung carcinogenesis. The animals of the instant invention were also found to have increased levels of Gli1 and Shh. Vectors, cells and cell lines are provided, as is a method for identifying a therapeutic agent for the chemoprevention or treatment of lung cancer.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un animal non humain transgénique dont le génome contient un transgène contenant un acide nucléique encodant une protéine E cycline liée à un élément de régulation incluant un promoteur spécifique au poumon. Les animaux transgéniques de la présente invention présentent des niveaux élevés de protéine E cycline dans le poumon et ont une occurrence accrue de carcinogénèse du poumon. Les animaux de la présente invention ont également des niveaux accrus de Gli1 et Shh. Les vecteurs, les cellules et les lignes de cellules sont fournis ainsi qu’un procédé permettant l’identification d’un agent thérapeutique de chimio-prévention ou de traitement du cancer du poumon.
