(EN)Alloy compositions are described for use in anodes of lithium ion batteries. The alloy compositions contain (a) tin, (b) a second element that includes silicon, aluminum, or a combination thereof, (c) a third element that includes yttrium, a lanthanide element, an actinide element, or a combination thereof and an optional alkaline earth element, and (d) an optional transition metal. The alloy compositions are amorphous and remain amorphous even after multiple cycles of lithiation and delithiation.
(FR)La présente invention concerne des compositions d’alliage pour une utilisation dans des anodes de batteries au lithium-ion. Les compositions d’alliage contiennent (a) de l’étain, (b) un second élément qui comprend du silicium, de l’aluminium, ou une combinaison de ceux-ci, (c) un troisième élément qui comprend de l’yttrium, un élément de lanthanide, un élément d’actinide, ou une combinaison de ceux-ci et un élément alcali terreux facultatif, et (d) un métal de transition facultatif.
