(EN)A magnetorheological (MR) fluid device including a pressurized MR liquid with an improved performance is provided. Also provided is a method for minimizing cavitation of a common magnetorheological device, comprising providing an MR fluid within the device with a pressure of at least 100psi. The device as provided minimizes cavitation in the device, and can be broadly used in the railway vehicle suspension system with excellent performance.
(FR)L'invention porte sur un amortisseur à fluide magnétorhéologique (MR) comprimé aux performances améliorées et sur un procédé de réduction de la cavitation par rapport aux amortisseur à fluide magnétorhéologique usuels, consistant à comprimer ledit fluide sous une pression d'au moins 100 psi. Ledit amortisseur peut être largement utilisé dans la suspension des véhicules ferroviaires avec d'excellentes performances.
