Abstract:
(EN) Techniques for performing inter-system handover are described. An Access Gateway (AGW) sends a message requesting handover of a user equipment (UE) from a first radio access network (RAN) to a second RAN. The message is sent to an Inter Access System (inter-AS) Anchor for the first RAN communicating with an SGSN for the second RAN via a Gn interface. The Inter-AS Anchor and SGSN exchange messages via the Gn interface, and the Inter-AS Anchor forwards the messages to the AGW to handover the UE from the first RAN to the second RAN. The SGSN sees the Inter-AS Anchor as another SGSN for the handover and as a GGSN after the handover. This allows the inter-system handover to be achieved with an inter-SGSN SRNS relocation procedure used for handover between two SGSNs, which reduces impact on the SGSN to support the inter-system handover.
(FR) L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à réaliser un transfert intercellulaire inter-systèmes. Une passerelle d'accès (AGW) envoie un message demandant un transfert intercellulaire d'un équipement utilisateur (UE) entre un premier réseau d'accès radio (RAN) et un second RAN. Le message est envoyé à un point d'ancrage entre systèmes d'accès (inter-AS) pour le premier RAN communiquant avec un SGSN pour le second RAN par l'intermédiaire d'une interface Gn. Le point d'ancrage inter-AS et le SGSN échangent des messages par l'intermédiaire de l'interface Gn et le point d'ancrage inter-AS réachemine les messages en direction de l'AGW en vue du transfert intercellulaire de l'UE entre le premier RAN et le second RAN. Le SGSN considère le point d'ancrage inter-AS comme un autre SGSN pour le transfert intercellulaire et comme un GGSN après le transfert intercellulaire. Cela permet de réaliser le transfert intercellulaire inter-systèmes avec une procédure de relocalisation de SRNS inter-SGSN utilisée en vue d'un transfert intercellulaire entre deux SGSN, d'où une réduction de l'influence sur le SGSN pour la prise en charge du transfert inter-systèmes.
