Abstract:
(EN) A data compression technique for MWD applications uses feature detection, extraction, followed by image compression for only the region(s) of interest. The detection approach processes data in real time. It triggers on the start and end of a feature without processing any further features. This provides feature detection with zero latency. Compressing only the region of interest provides data compression with both higher resolution and higher compression ratio
(FR) L'invention porte sur une technique de compression de données pour applications MWD utilisant la détection puis l'extraction de caractéristiques, suivie de la compression des images limitée à certaines zones d'intérêt. La phase de détection traite les données en temps réel. Elle est lancée et arrêtée pour une caractéristiques précise sans se préoccuper des autres caractéristiques, ce qui donne une détection à latence zéro. En ne comprimant que la zone d'intérêt on obtient une compression des données de meilleure résolution et de taux de compression plus élevé.
