Abstract:
(EN) A wave protection structure is intended for a slope, such as the slope of a breakwater or a bank, which slope merges into a bed at the location of a toe. The wave protection structure comprises wave protection elements and toe elements. The wave protection elements are each provided with a plurality of projections for engaging in one another and are provided on the slope in a substantially regular imaginary grid, with a horizontal grid spacing between the centres of gravity of the wave protection elements. The toe elements extend along the toe and their shape differs from the shape of the wave protection elements. The centres of gravity of the toe elements are provided at substantially the horizontal grid spacing from one another. As a result of the toe elements being provided at the grid spacing of the wave protection elements, it is easier to position the toe elements. This also allows the use of larger blocks and means that it is no longer necessary to stack the wave protection elements.
(FR) L'invention concerne une structure de protection contre les vagues prévue pour une pente, comme la pente d'un môle ou d'une rive, ladite pente se fondant dans un banc au niveau d'une pointe. La structure de protection contre les vagues comprend des éléments de protection contre les vagues et des éléments de pointe. Les éléments de protection contre les vagues sont chacun pourvus d'une pluralité de parties saillantes s'engageant les unes dans les autres et disposées sur la pente pour constituer une grille imaginaire sensiblement régulière, avec un certain espacement de grille horizontal entre les centres de gravité des éléments de protection contre les vagues. Les éléments de pointe s'étendent le long de la pointe et leur forme diffère de celle des éléments de protection contre les vagues. Les centres de gravité des éléments de pointe sont disposés sensiblement selon l'espacement de grille horizontal les uns par rapport aux autres. Comme les éléments de pointe sont disposés selon l'espacement de grille des éléments de protection contre les vagues, il est donc plus facile de positionner les éléments de pointe. Ceci permet également d'employer des blocs plus volumineux et cela signifie qu'il n'est plus nécessaire d'empiler les éléments de protection contre les vagues.
