(EN)The invention concerns a process for measuring the upper airway collapsibility of a subject to examine, comprising the following steps: A. detecting an air flow at the mouth (1) of the subject under examination, B. calculating at least one quantity as a function of said air flow detected in step A, C. when said at least one quantity exceeds at least one threshold, generating vacuum pressure at the mouth (1) of the subject under examination, D. monitoring an expiratory air flow of the subject under examination for at least a first limited time length starting from the initial instant of generation of said vacuum pressure at the mouth (1) of the subject under examination, the process being characterised in that it further comprises the following step: E. detecting the maximum drop of expiratory air flow of the subject under examination during said first time length of step D. The invention further concerns the related measuring apparatus.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de mesure de la collapsibilité des voies aériennes supérieures d'un patient à examiner, qui consiste: A. à détecter un flux d'air au niveau de la bouche (1) dudit patient, B. à calculer au moins une quantité en fonction dudit flux d'air détecté en A, C. si lesdites quantités dépassent au moins un seuil, à générer une pression sous vide au niveau de la bouche (1) de ce patient, D. à surveiller le flux d'air expiré du patient pendant au moins une première durée commençant au moment de la production de ladite pression sous vide au niveau de la bouche (1) du patient. Le procédé se caractérise en ce qu'il consiste en outre: E. à détecter la chute maximale du flux d'air expiré du patient pendant ladite première durée en D. L'invention concerne enfin l'appareil de mesure connexe.
