(EN)A system and method for polymeric drug delivery vehicles activated by ultrasound is disclosed herein. The system and method include polymeric particles, partially filled with a gas or a gas precursor, and partially filled with a liquid containing a drug. The drug is then released locally by application of ultrasound. Because the drug is dissolved, the delivery thereof is more efficient than for drugs incorporated with or in the polymeric shell of such particles.
(FR)L'invention concerne un système et un procédé se rapportant à des véhicules polymériques de diffusion de médicaments activés par ultrasons. Le système et le procédé comprennent des particules polymères, partiellement chargées d'un gaz ou d'un précurseur de gaz, et partiellement chargées d'un liquide contenant un médicament. Le médicament est ensuite libéré localement par application d'ultrasons. Le médicament étant dissoute, sa diffusion est plus efficace que pour les médicaments intégrés à ou placés à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe polymérique desdites particules.
