Abstract:
(EN) A turbine control system for a variable speed electrical generator in a wind turbine mounted atop a support tower (202). The wind turbine converts wind energy into a driving torque applied to the generator (230). The control system includes a turbine support tower position sensor (204) and may also include other tower acceleration and velocity sensors. A wind flow estimator (208) uses the measured motion, generator rotation rate (216) and blade pitch angle (212) to predict wind flow over the swep area of the turbine's rotor, and the tower motion . The predicted wind flow and motion is used in the turbine control system to properly adjust its operating point, to tune the controller, to control the rotor rotation rate, and to damp tower oscillations.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de commande de turbine destiné à un générateur électrique à vitesse variable dans une éolienne montée au sommet d'une tour support (202). L'éolienne convertit l'énergie du vent en un couple d'entraînement appliqué au générateur (230). Le système de commande comprend un capteur de position de tour support de turbine (204) et peut également comprendre d'autres capteurs de vitesse et d'accélération de la tour. Un estimateur de flux de vent (208) utilise le mouvement mesuré, le taux de rotation du générateur (216) et un angle d'inclinaison des pales (212) afin de prédire le flux du vent au-dessus de la surface balayée par le rotor de la turbine, et le mouvement de la tour.
