Abstract:
(EN) The long term stability of fire resistant laminated glazings comprising a silicate based interlayer is improved by ensuring that the concentration of photosensitive transition metal complexes in the interlayer is less than that which would destabilise the interlayer. This improvement may be obtained by reducing the concentration of transition metals especially iron, cobalt and nickel or by producing the interlayer form a silica source which comprises a reduced concentration of those metals.
(FR) La stabilité à long terme des vernis stratifiés et résistants au feu comprenant une intercouche à base de silicates est améliorée en assurant que la concentration de complexes métalliques de transition photosensibles dans l’intercouche est inférieure à celle qui déstabiliserait l’intercouche. Cette amélioration peut être obtenue en réduisant la concentration de métaux de transition, en particulier le fer, le cobalt et le nickel ou en produisant l’intercouche à partir d’une source de silice comprenant une concentration réduite de ces métaux.
