(FR) PROCEDE DE CONFINEMENT D'UNE MATIERE PAR VITRIFICATION
Abstract:
(EN) The invention concerns a method for making a glass frit for confining by vitrification a substance comprising at least one oxidizable or reducible chemical species, as well as a method for confining by vitrification said substance. The method for making a glass frit includes a step of incorporating in a raw glass frit an oxidoreduction couple whereof the type and the amount enable said at least one chemical species to be maintained in its oxidized or reduced state. The confining method includes mixing and hot melting the resulting glass frit and the substance to be confined. The invention enables the confinement of pollutants such as radionuclides, metals and metalloids to be optimized. The substance may be nuclear waste or a material derived from incineration of household refuse.
(FR) La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication d'une fritte de verre destinée au confinement par vitrification d'une matière comprenant au moins une espèce chimique oxydable ou réductible, ainsi qu'à un procédé de confinement par vitrification de ladite matière. Le procédé de fabrication de la fritte de verre comprend une étape d'incorporation dans une fritte de verre brute d' au moins un couple redox dont la nature et la quantité permettant de maintenir ladite, au moins une, espèce chimique dans l'un ou l'autre de son état oxydé ou réduit. Le procédé de confinement comprend un mélange et chauffage à fusion de la fritte de verre obtenue et de la matière à confiner. La présente invention permet d'optimiser le confinement des polluants tels que des radionucléides, des métaux et métalloïdes . La matière peut être un déchet nucléaire ou un matériau issu de l'incinération de déchets ménagers.
