Abstract:
(EN) A method and apparatus for direct-conversion transmission generates a first frequency signal that is non-harmonically related to a transmit frequency signal, divides the first frequency signal to obtain a mixing frequency signal, divides the first frequency signal to obtain an intermediate frequency reference signal, generates the transmit frequency signal by using the mixing frequency signal to downconvert the transmit frequency signal into an intermediate frequency feedback signal, and phase-locks the intermediate frequency feedback signal to the intermediate frequency reference signal. The transmit frequency signal may be phase modulated, and may serve as an input to a saturated-mode power amplifier that can be configured for corresponding amplitude modulation. Alternatively, the un-modulated transmit frequency signal serves as the carrier signal input to a quadrature modulator, which imparts I/Q modulations to it, thereby producing a modulated carrier signal for input to a linear power amplifier.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un appareil de transmission à conversion directe. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à générer un premier signal de fréquence en relation non harmonique avec un signal de fréquence de transmission ; à diviser le premier signal de fréquence pour obtenir un signal de fréquence de mélange, à diviser le premier signal de fréquence pour obtenir un signal de référence de fréquence intermédiaire, à générer le signal de fréquence de transmission en utilisant le signal de fréquence de mélange pour abaisser le signal de fréquence de transmission à un signal de réaction de fréquence intermédiaire, et à verrouiller des phases du signal de réaction de fréquence intermédiaire sur le signal de référence de fréquence intermédiaire. Le signal de fréquence de transmission peut être modulé en phase, et peut servir d'entrée dans un amplificateur de puissance en régime de saturation qui peut être adapté à une modulation d'amplitude correspondante. Dans une variante, le signal de fréquence de transmission non modulé, sert d'entrée de signal de porteuse à un modulateur en quadrature, qui lui confère des modulations I/Q, ce qui permet de un signal de porteuse modulé destiné à être entré dans un amplificateur de puissance linéaire.
