Abstract:
(EN) Biphenyl derivatives having specific structures represented by the general formula (I); a long-life organic electroluminescent (EL) device comprising a cathode, an anode, and an organic thin film lying between both which is composed of one or more layers including at least one luminescent layer, wherein at least one of the layers contains one or more of the biphenyl derivatives; and biphenyl derivatives favorably usable as the luminescent material in the device: (I) wherein Ar1 and Ar2 are each an at least tricyclic fused aromatic hydrocarbon group; and Ar3 is phenyl or an at least bicyclic fused aromatic hydrocarbon group, with the proviso that when any of Ar1 to Ar3 is anthracen-9-yl, no hydrogen atom attaches to the 10-position carbon of the anthracene.
(FR) L'invention concerne des dérivés biphényles ayant des structures spécifiques représentées par la formule générale (I) ; un dispositif organique électroluminescent (EL) à durée de vie longue comprenant une cathode et une anode, entre lesquelles est disposé un film organique fin composé d'une ou de plusieurs couches incluant au moins une couche luminescente, au moins une des couches contenant un ou plusieurs dérivés biphényles ; et des dérivés biphényles adaptés à une utilisation en tant que matériau luminescent dans ce dispositif : (I) où Ar1 et Ar2 sont chacun un groupe hydrocarboné aromatique au moins tricyclique fusionné ; et Ar3 est un groupe phényle ou un groupe hydrocarboné aromatique au moins bicyclique fusionné, sous réserve que lorsqu'un substituant parmi Ar1 à Ar3 est l'anthracèn-9-yle, le carbone en position 10 de l'anthracène ne comporte aucun atome d'hydrogène en tant que substituant.
