Abstract:
(EN) It is assumed that the direction in which luminance is greatest when an image to be displayed is an all-white image is a main observation direction of the screen in a display device. Luminance (Ld) in the main observation direction of the first image when the first image is an all-black image and the other image is an all-white image and luminance (Lb) in the main observation direction of the first image when the first image and the other image are all-black images satisfy the relationship given in Expression (1): (Ld - Lb)/(Lb) ≤ 2.5 ... (1) Accordingly, in the display device displaying different images in the a plurality of display directions by using the common display screen, it is possible to improve the image separation ability for the respective display directions.
(FR) L’invention suppose que la direction dans laquelle la luminance est la plus importante lorsqu’une image à afficher est une image entièrement blanche est une direction d’observation principale de l’écran dans un dispositif d’affichage. La luminance (Ld) dans la direction d’observation principale de la première image lorsque la première image est une image entièrement noire et que l’autre image est une image entièrement blanche et la luminance (Lb) dans la direction d’observation principale de la première image lorsque la première image et l’autre image sont des images entièrement noires satisfont à la relation donnée dans l’expression (1) : (Ld - Lb)/(Lb) ≤ 2.5 ... (1) En conséquence, dans le dispositif d’affichage permettant d’afficher différentes images dans la pluralité de directions d’affichage en utilisant l’écran d’affichage commun, il est possible d’améliorer la capacité de séparation d’images pour les directions d’affichage respectives.
(JA)  本発明の表示装置は、表示する画像が全白画像である場合に、輝度が最も大きくなる方向をこの画面の主観察方向とすると、第1の画像が全黒画像であり、他の画像が全白画像である場合における、第1の画像の主観察方向の輝度(Ld)と、第1の画像および他の画像が全黒画像である場合における、第1の画像の主観察方向の輝度(Lb)とが、式(1)  (Ld-Lb)/(Lb)≦2.5 ・・・(1)  の関係を満たしているので、共通の表示画面を用いて複数の表示方向に対してそれぞれ異なる画像を表示する表示装置において、各表示方向に対する画像分離能を向上させた表示装置を実現することができる。
