Abstract:
(EN) A wireless broadband communication system that operates with high efficiency and reduced latency in long range point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications. The system includes multiple transceivers and multiple antennas for transmitting and receiving wireless signals using TDD techniques over multiple channels, which include a control channel for setting both the size of the transmit bursts and the modulation threshold level. By determining the size of the transmit bursts for a subsequent data transmission based upon the number of filler packets detected in a specified number of previously received bursts, and adjusting the modulation threshold level for the subsequent transmission based upon the transmit burst size, the system provides increased data throughput, while maintaining the packet error rate at an acceptable level. As the throughput requirements of the system are relaxed, the modulation threshold levels can be adjusted to provide reduced packet error rates.
(FR) La présente invention a trait à un système de communications sans fil en large bande qui fonctionne avec une haute efficacité et un temps d'attente réduit dans des applications de point à point et de point-multipoint de longue distance. Le système comporte une pluralité d'émetteurs/récepteurs et une pluralité d'antenne pour la transmission et la réception de signaux sans fil utilisant des techniques de duplex par répartition dans le temps sur une pluralité de voies, qui comprennent une voie de signalisation pour le réglage de la taille des rafales de transmission pour une transmission de données ultérieure en fonction du nombre de paquets de remplissage détectés dans un nombre déterminé de rafales reçues précédemment, et l'ajustement du niveau de modulation pour la transmission ultérieure en fonction de la taille de rafale de transmission, le système fournit une quantité de données accrue, tout en maintenant le taux d'erreurs de paquet à un niveau acceptable. Etant donné que les besoins en débit sont assouplis, les niveaux de modulation peuvent être ajustés pour fournir des taux d'erreurs de paquet réduits.
